Steve Latham Lighting Design and Event Services

Welcome to the section of my site relating to my work in the events and architectural areas.

I started my career working at a small touring theatre in Taunton. There you needed to be an all-rounder and I enveloped skills in lighting, sound and stage management. I then decided to formalise my education and studied on the Stage Management and Technical Theatre course at LAMDA. Whilst studying I continued working in theatre when I had time.

I left LAMDA in 1988 and immediately started work with Imagination in the lighting design department as a junior lighting designer and draughtsman. In 1993 I was promoted to run the lighting design department. I remained at Imagination until end of March 2005 when I left to move to Brazil.

Imagination is the UK's largest design, communication and branding company. It now has offices around the world including London, New York and Hong Kong. Whilst working there, there was a huge variety of work for a vast number of clients. As a result of the multi-disciplinary nature of most of the projects I have a good working knowledge of most areas of event, conference, exhibition and architectural industries. For a very brief resume of the work please take a look at my CV (they are in PDF format).
